Nagina Social Welfare UK mission and vision

At Nagina Social Welfare (UK), everything we do begins with one purpose: uniting faith, education and community compassion across the UK. We are an Islamic organisation and Islamic charity in the UK that teaches the Holy Quran, offers spiritual guidance and serves people in need. This page explains what we believe, what we are working towards and how you can be part of it.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help Muslims in the UK, young and old, live their faith with knowledge, good character and care for others. We do this in three connected ways:

  • Teaching the Holy Quran so children and adults can read it correctly and understand its message.
  • Offering spiritual guidance rooted in love for Allah Ta’ala and His Messenger ﷺ.
  • Serving the community through Islamic charity, because faith without service is incomplete.

Our Vision

We want to see a UK where every Muslim family has access to quality Islamic education, a welcoming masjid and a charity they can trust. We hope to raise a generation that is confident in its faith, proud of its British identity and always ready to help its neighbours.

Faith: Walking the Straight Path

Faith is the foundation of our work. Our spiritual direction is inspired by Allama Munir Ahmed Yousafi (also written Yousufi or Yusufi), known as Munir-e-Islam (علامہ منیر احمد یوسفی), and remembered by many as Baba Ji Sarkar. His message of Seedha Rastah (the straight path), sincerity and service to humanity, along with the Yusufi Shajra, continues to guide our community.

Learn more on our Spiritual Guide page and Seedha Rastah page, or listen to talks from Nagina TV on our Sermons page.

Education: Quran Classes and Madrasas in the UK

Education is how faith is passed to the next generation. Our masjid and madrasa in Peterborough, and our centres in Manchester, give children a calm and disciplined place to learn.

  • Quran classes in Peterborough: families looking for a madrasa in Peterborough can find details on our Peterborough page and Madrasa page.
  • Quran academy in Partington and madrasa in Manchester: see our Manchester page for how to enrol.

Students learn the Holy Quran step by step, together with prayer, manners and respect for parents, teachers and neighbours.

Community Compassion: Islamic Charity in Peterborough and Manchester

Islam teaches us to care for those around us. As an Islamic charity in Peterborough and Manchester, Nagina Social Welfare (UK) turns that teaching into action. See our projects on the Work page.

Your giving makes this possible. Through our Donate page you can give:

  • Zakat: if you want to donate Zakat in the UK, visit our Zakat page, where you can also use our Zakat calculator.
  • Sadaqah and Lillah: voluntary giving for the sake of Allah Ta’ala.
  • Fitrana: the charity due before Eid ul-Fitr.

Our Values

  • Sincerity: we work for the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala, not for show.
  • Knowledge: we believe learning the Holy Quran and the faith is for everyone.
  • Compassion: we serve people of all backgrounds in need.
  • Trust: we aim to use every donation with honesty and care. Nagina Social Welfare (UK) is a registered charity (number 1196514).
  • Unity: we bring families and generations together.
